The Leaving, my forthcoming chapbook, gathers poems rooted in family, grief, becoming, and the quiet shifts that change us. Inspired by my father’s twenty‑five‑year struggle with Parkinson’s disease, it offers a tender, unflinching look at the ways his illness shaped those around him — and the ways it shaped him.
